Deepika Padukone item number in Theenmaar

Deepika Padukone will do an item number in a Telugu film called 'Theenmaar'.

Deepika who has done South films early in her career got an offer from her Telugu director friend Jayant Paranji. Interestingly his film ' Theenmaar ' is the Telugu remake of Deepika-Saif Ali Khan's superhit film ' Love Aaj Kal '.

And reportedly, the extremely short skirt that the long-legged star was supposed to sport in the item number made Deepika feel quite uncomfortable.

Deepika Padukone will be starring opposite Rajinikanth in Raana.

Raana is produced by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth and directed by KS Ravikumar. The film is a period film and Rajnikanth will be seen in a triple role.


The pre-production work on the film is going on and the shoot will start by March. The soundtrack of the film will be given by A.R. Rahman and the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu in 2012.
