Deepika Padukone losing her edge in Bollywood ?

Deepika Padukone entered Bollywood with a bang. She delivered a hit with OSO where she was paired with Shah rukh Khan. She went on to sign big banners. I remember, I had created a post in 2009 questioning if Deepika was the luckiest actress in Bollywood. She had everything going for her then.

Last 2 years were not great for her. Though she has improved remarkably as an actress, her movies were written off and failed to make a mark at the box office. Chandni Chowk to China, Karthik Calling Karthik, Lafangey Parindey, Break Ke Baad, and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey failed at the box office. Aarakshan is being panned by the critics too.

She has Desi Boyz, Cocktail in her pipeline of releases but I doubt these movies have the makings of a blockbuster.

So folks, what do you think went wrong in Deepika's career? Is it bad judgement on her part or is she not playing her cards right or is it just that luck is not favoring her this time around?
