Deepika Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor to act as love bird on screen again in Ayan Mukherjee's "Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani".Ex-lovers Deepika and Ranbir will be romancing in the sand-dunes of Rajasthan.

The cast will be staying at Udaivilas Palace in Udaipur and will also be shooting in the hotel. Besides the hotel, the actors will also be shooting a song sequence near the lake and sand-dunes.

 This is the first time that Kapoor and Padukone are working together after their much publicised break-up.

Deepika Padukone is said to be back in Race 2. Reports had it that Deepika would do the film only if her never ending demands were fulfilled. However, putting aside all the rumors, we learnt that Dippy just called truce and returned to the film.

Why did Deepika Padukone return to the film? 

Well, buzz is that producer Ramesh Taurani filed a case to get a non- cooperation notice issued against the actress. He also registered a complaint against Deepika with CINTAA (Cine and Television Artistes Association) and AMPTPP (Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers). No wonder, Deepika changed her mind.

Deepika Padukone looked a stunner wearing a red one shoulder, Halston Heritage, gathered dress to plug her film Desi Boyz at 92.7 BIG FM Studios in Mumbai on Friday, November 25.

The 25-year-old has been tirelessly promoting her film, solo as well as with her co-stars Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Chitrangada Singh.

Her standout silk dress had fitted draped bodice with ruching detail and cartridge pleated skirt that ended at her mid thighs with a fluted hem.

She paired her dress with unconventional Steve Madden Serenite black thong flats.

Her minimal jewelry - a pair of stud earrings from personal collection - kept the focus on her enviably toned body.

Her lustrous hair was styled in shoulder draping barrel rolls. She rounded her look with thick liner on eyelids, red eyeshadow, pink glossy pout and flash of red blush.

She interacted with fans and answered their questions on the show.

Deepika will next get busy filming for Abbas Mustan's Race 2 with co-star Saif Ali Khan in early December.

No 'Race 2' Without Deepika

Speculation about the female lead in the rest of the race may finally be buried.

According to reports from Priyanka Chopra to be considered as a surface, the directors finally settled in his first election, Deepika Padukone. In fact, the actress has already started shooting the film with Saif Ali Khan.

Deepika's schedule is too tight for the next few months, especially after she signed Ayan Mukherjee's Yeh Jawani Hain Diwani, and so, it's impossible for her to be part of Race 2. Producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips recently posted on Twitter that the film was ready to roll.

Since Deepika couldn't work out the dates she will have to opt out and if sources are to be believed, the makers are planning to cast Priyanka instead. Piggy Chops too has shown interest in doing the film.

However a source close to the film confirms, "There are thousand ways of resorting to escapism but director Rohit Dhawan feels that nudity should be last one to look at," the source says, "Everyone's prerogative and perspective is different. If you are making a 'Boogie Nights' then nudity is unavoidable but a film like DESI BOYZ doesn't require that."

When contacted, Rohit didn't deny any such possibility of his girls getting into bikinis. He says, "There aren't any beaches in the film so no one is going to start swimming. Also no one is playing a lifeguard either. I may put someone in a bikini if a scene genuinely demanded it, but sorry to say, DESI BOYZ doesn't have any room for that."

Well, the hot girls and the desi boys are surely going to soar the temperature.

Ranbir and Deepika will be in Ayan Mukerji's next titled Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.

Karan Johar has pulled off a casting coup of sorts - in his upcoming production Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani to be directed by Ayan Mukerji - by bringing together the two young stars who were onetime lovers.

Interestingly, Ayan had been scouting a heroine opposite his buddy Ranbir for a while now. The initial buzz was that he tried convincing Katrina Kaif - whose name was linked with Ranbir after his breakup with Deepika in 2009 - to do the role.

Despite her proximity to Ayan, Katrina refused citing date problems and chose the Salman Khan- starrer Ek Tha Tiger over Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani . For a while Anushka Sharma's name also did the rounds for the role.

Though she still doesn’t like the way the item song 'Dum Maro Dum', has been picturised, actress Zeenat Aman is now making it a point to point out that she doesn’t have personal grouse with actor Deepika Padukone, who has performed to the song.

According to Aman, she still maintains that she is disappointed with the song but she wants to make it clear that this does not imply that she does not like Padukone.

However, it could not be ascertained whether Padukone herself called Aman or if a staff member communicated to Aman about how upset she was to learn that Aman , the original heroine on which the song has been filmed, doesn’t approve of the new version.

Despite B-town going gaga over Deepika Padukone’s gorgeous looks, south demi God Rajnikanth is not pleased by her look in his forthcoming film “Rana”.

He wants Deepika to look even more beautiful. He stated that he will proceed with the shooting of the film once her look has been finalized.

Rajni has told the director of his film K S Ravikumar that Deepika’s look in the film should be simple but at the same time traditionally beautiful.

That look is yet to come. Pleasing Rajni Sir is a tough job. Ravikumar will have to assure Rajni that the actress will look the way as he wants to.

Dec 23, 2010, (Bollywood Actresses) - Deepika Padukone looked pristine in a full-skirted white dress at a presser to announce the launch of her new film Aarakshan on December 22.

Deepika's belted dress had buttons in the front, ruffle detail on neck and elbow length sleeves.

The 24-year-old accessorized with glossy tan pumps, hoop earrings and stacked bangles.

Her medium brown colored hair was styled half up half down with a side parting.

She wore winged eyeliner and bronze lipstick.

Also attending the event were Deepika's co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Prateik Babbar; director Prakash Jha and producer Firoz Nadiadwala.

Bachchan plays a college principal in the film and Deepika his daughter, in the two stars' first screen appearance together. Jha reportedly picked Deepika for the role because her lanky looks are not unlike those of Bachchan's real life daughter Shweta Nanda.

Deepika also co-stars with Prateik for the first time in the film and was seen chatting him up at the event.

Saif, who plays a backward class student in the film, was paired with Deepika in Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal (2009).

Deepika Padukone To reweave Zeenat Dum Maro Dum

It has not been an easy task for Rohan Sippy to get permission from Dev Anand to remake his superhit song ‘Dum Maro Dum’. The makers were considering Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra to spice up the item number.

However, it was Deepika who landed up with the number and according to the inside reports, she will be seen in a very sensational avatar with a proper item girl tag.

She has already been seen in an item number “Love Mera Hit Hit” in SRK’s ‘Billu Barber’. The song will have a urban and contemporary feel and has been remixed by Pritam.
